Establishment for Simultaneous Analytical Method of Frequent Sunscreen Ingredients in Cosmetics

Abstract
Sunscreen products have been using two or more compound ingredients in order to maximize the effect of the sunscreen. The purpose of this study is to establish and verify the simultaneous analysis of sunscreen ingredients of eight kinds (ethylhexylmethoxycinnamate etc.) that are frequent using among sunscreen ingredients. We used HPLC-PDA to establish simultaneous analytical method of frequent sunscreen ingredients. Preprocessing procedure was developed by using the methanol that is characteristically facilitative extract of the sunscreen products. In order to verify it, we validated the established method in compliance with ¡°The guidelines for validation of the test method for medical substances¡±. Cross validation was conducted by testing agency and showed consistent results. Established sunscreen ingredients simultaneous analytical method will be provided through ¡°The guidelines for analysis method for the restricted ingredients in cosmetics¡±. It is expected that the developed method can contribute to the safety and quality control of the cosmetic products and related industry.
